The Challenge

The Challenge
Overheight vehicles travelling on restricted routes posed a significant risk to bridges and overhead structures. Manual monitoring could not provide continuous surveillance, and identifying violating vehicles after an incident was both time-consuming and inefficient.
The authority required an automated system capable of detecting overheight vehicles before impact, recording every event, and providing operators with accurate evidence for rapid response and enforcement.

Upturnist implemented an integrated Traffic Management Solution using Overheight Vehicle Detection (OHVD) sensors, ANPR cameras, and CCTV systems.
The OHVD sensors continuously monitor the height of approaching vehicles. When a vehicle exceeds the permitted height, the system automatically triggers an event, captures the vehicle registration through ANPR, records video footage using CCTV cameras, and immediately sends the incident details to the central control room.
A centralized dashboard enables operators to monitor live events, review captured evidence, and maintain a complete history of violations for reporting and analysis.
